If you could dream and have those dreams come true, what products or services would appear in the marketplace?
Honestly, what would excite me the most would be to see a more environmentally-conscience marketplace. Its hard for me to get excited about little techno-gadgetry, like phones, pdas, mp3 players, and the like (which change frequently and are obsolete within a few weeks of their release), but what I could get excited about is hydrogen-powered vehicles, or cars with very low or no emissions. The industry for green technology is potentially HUGE, and I dream that we will be able to drive around in cars, guilt-free one day. Funny, how our dreams of flying cars have faded, and now society dreams more of fuel-efficiency.
But in addition to cars, many things need to change. Rather than more products being produced, old products would be made obsolete and replaced with new, greener improvements. I think there is a an obviously huge potential for new green products, including new, more efficient homes, more efficient batteries, and new appliances that use less energy.

i totally agree! i wanted to write about the same thing. on this same note, it would be for all building materials to be green and have no voc emissions. my prime interest is healthcare design. i am hoping to be a healthcare designer when i graduate. you would be absolutely amazed at the number of hospitals who use toxic materials (paint, adhesives, etc.) inside of their buildings. there have been several studies to prove that these actually slow down the healing process. to me, this is awful, and really makes me want to take action! personally, i think, that healthcare, of all industries, should be making the first steps and be the industry leader in green design and how materials affect people's health.
